International Day of the Dead Celebration
International Day of the Dead Celebration Eğitim & Diğer Yabangee Base (Art Stage Collective) / İSTANBUL
On Friday 6 November, join us at Yabangee Base for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), an evening of music, fun, and community inspired by the colorful Mexican tradition of celebrating life and remembering loved ones.
Expect a lively DJ performance (a mix of Mexican and Latin American music alongside our usual international favorites), an on-site make-up artist, a costume competition, a cultural quiz, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people!
Cultural Quiz
Our Día de los Muertos Cultural Quiz will explore the holiday's history, symbolism, and traditions, covering everything from the significance of marigolds and ofrendas to La Catrina and a few fun pop culture references. We'll have prizes for the winners!
A Space for Remembrance
This year, we're creating a small remembrance table inspired by the holiday's traditions. While not intended to replicate a traditional Mexican ofrenda, we hope to offer a meaningful space for guests who wish to honor loved ones who have passed away.
Guests are welcome to send photographs of loved ones via WhatsApp or email by 14:00 on Friday 6 November. We'll print and respectfully display them during the evening. Please ensure submitted photographs feature only those who have passed away.

Guests are welcome to take their photographs home on their way out. Any remaining photographs will be collected at the end of the evening and will not be kept or reused as decorations.
For those who prefer not to share a photograph, we'll also provide materials to write the names of loved ones they'd like to remember. Participation is entirely optional and open to everyone.
Costumes & Make-Up
Día de los Muertos-inspired costumes and creative make-up are encouraged, but never required!
How Do Student Tickets Work?
Student Tickets are available to university students with a valid student ID. Student IDs will be checked at entry.
If you do not have a valid university student ID, please purchase a regular General Entry ticket.
How Does the Make-Up Artist Work?
A separate Make-Up Artist Booking ticket is available for guests who would like to use our on-site make-up artist.
You must purchase a Make-Up Artist Booking ticket in addition to your regular admission ticket to use this service.
