Soundcheck - An All Music Quiz: 1980s & 1990s Edition

Pub Quiz Nights continue at Yabangee Base in Cihangir, and on Monday 5 October we’re turning back the clock for Soundcheck: An All Music Quiz, this time dedicated to the music of the 1980s and 1990s.

From defining hits and massive artists to songs you haven’t heard in years but somehow still know every word to, Soundcheck will move through two iconic decades of music across pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, alternative, dance, electronic, and everything in between. The focus will be largely international, with minimal Turkish music, so expect a soundtrack built around songs and artists heard around the world.

This one is less about memorizing music trivia and more about knowing what you’re hearing. The majority of the quiz will involve listening to music and identifying songs and artists, alongside a selection of other music-based questions and challenges.

The night begins with a social meetup at 19:30, giving everyone time to arrive, grab a drink, meet some people, and settle in. The quiz starts at 20:30 sharp and will wrap up around 21:30–22:00. Guests are welcome to stay afterward and keep hanging out.

• No outside food or drink
• Indoor space is non-smoking
• Event is 18+

Come for the quiz. Stay for the music, the arguments over who sang what, and the inevitable moment when a song you haven’t heard since the ’90s starts playing and you somehow recognize it within three seconds.

Note: This is a community-first event at heart, created to bring people together in a relaxed and social setting. We’ve added a minimal ticket fee primarily to encourage stronger RSVPs and to give us a clearer sense of attendance in advance. This allows us to plan seating, staffing, and
