About Karşıyaka Municipality Hikmet Şimşek Art Center
Karşıyaka Municipality Hikmet Şimşek Art Center is a cultural and event venue located in the Atakent neighborhood of Karşıyaka, İzmir. Its central location makes it easily accessible. Opened in 2011 as the Karşıyaka Opera and Theater Hall, the venue was renamed in 2015 in honor of the renowned orchestra conductor Hikmet Şimşek.
The center covers an indoor area of approximately 3,000 square meters and stands out with its excellent acoustics. It features exhibition spaces, private boxes, and a main hall with a seating capacity of 517. The venue hosts a wide range of events, including theater, opera, ballet, concerts, and various stage performances.
