Gri Sahne is one of the important representatives of independent theatre, located on Kumbaracı Yokuşu (Hacımimi Neighborhood No:7A), one of the historic and steep slopes connecting İstiklal Avenue and Tophane in Beyoğlu, Istanbul's memory of culture and art. Possessing a boutique and intimate "black box" stage, the venue offers theatre lovers an alternative and innovative viewing experience.

In addition to its own productions, the venue hosts performances by guest theatre companies, contemporary dance shows, and acoustic concerts. It also serves as an education center for those interested in the kitchen of art with the acting workshops and theatre trainings it organizes.

How to Get to Gri Sahne?

Located on Kumbaracı Yokuşu, closer to Tünel Square (end of İstiklal Avenue), the venue is very easy to access.

By Public Transportation:

• Metro: Use the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman line and get off at the Şişhane station. Use the İstiklal Avenue/Tünel exit to reach Tünel Square. From here, you can reach the venue with a 2-3 minute walk down Kumbaracı Yokuşu.
• Tunnel (Funicular): You can go up to the Beyoğlu station from Karaköy via the F2 Karaköy-Beyoğlu Historic Tunnel line and reach the venue by walking down the nearby slope.
• Tram: You can get off at the Tophane stop with the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar line and reach the venue by climbing Kumbaracı Yokuşu (the slope is steep).
• Nostalgic Tram: You can arrive at the last stop, Tünel, via the T2 Taksim-Tünel tram and walk.

By Private Vehicle:

• The venue is on a slope that is open to vehicle traffic but is very narrow and has parking restrictions.
• The most practical solution is to leave your vehicle at the İSPARK multi-story car park in Tepebaşı or the parking lot under the Şişhane metro and walk via Tünel Square.
